Pattern of symptoms

Intermittent

Persistent

Either of:

  • symptoms present <4 days per week
  • symptoms present <4 consecutive weeks

Both of:

  • symptoms present ≥4 days per week
  • symptoms present ≥4 consecutive weeks

Severity

Mild

Moderate-to-severe

No features of moderate-to-severe allergic rhinitis

Any of:

  • sleep disturbance
  • impairment of daily activities, leisure, physical activity
  • impairment of school or work
  • troublesome symptoms
